Melanie Sigel

Melanie Sigel is a skilled attorney representing insurance policyholders in legal disputes against their insurance carriers.

Prior to joining Weisser, Elazar & Kantor, Ms. Sigel spent years defending insurance carriers. Through this experience, she gained a deep understanding of how insurance companies operate and investigate claims. Armed with this knowledge, Ms. Sigel now uses her expertise to help homeowners secure the benefits they are entitled to under their policies.

In her spare time, Ms. Sigel is committed to giving back to her community. As a law student, she was a Certified Legal Intern at the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic, where she represented survivors of domestic violence. Today, she serves as an attorney ad litem for foster children, ensuring they have a voice in the legal system.

Ms. Sigel earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was a member of the Dean’s List and was awarded a Book Award in Legal Drafting. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Florida State University in political science.
